How did we get by back then?? That was before people had adequate health care, access to education, and enough government assistance to carry them through poverty and old age! We barely survived it!
Look at that giant dip in govt spending in the 90's - The 90's were terrible times. Is that what you want to relive?
...So it turns out I'm not very good at playing the devil's advocate. I don't suppose there's any hope of turning this upward trend around at this point? Wars are clearly not the answer.
